100% of Beckfield College’s first Practical Nursing class passed the NCLEX-PN Licensure Examination upon first try. Wow! I can’t tell you how proud this statistic makes me as the Dean of Nursing at Beckfield College. A perfect pass rate won’t last forever, but this benchmark is evidence of a challenging curriculum and engaged students who want to thrive in nursing.

As a nursing school faculty member, I receive multiple emails weekly about up and coming trends, news, and opinions from various sources. As the Dean of Nursing, I welcome new nursing students to our programs at Beckfield College during two of our four terms each year. To ensure I get to know each and every student, I teach the first nursing class. I don’t make things easy for them, as every quarter in the program continues to escalate in difficulty and intensity. I disclose to them how challenging it is going to be while learning about each student’s ambitions and any personal experiences that led them to the profession of nursing.
