Headline Anniversary Event for Beckfield College
Florence, KY (August 19, 2009) Beckfield College will celebrate 25 years of academic
excellence at a reception on September 3rd highlighted by toasts from Trey Grayson, Secretary
of State of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Douglas Bolton, Publisher of the Business Courier,
and Steve Stevens, President of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. The event will
take place at the main campus in Florence at 16 Spiral Drive from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and is open
to community, business, civic and educational leaders and ambassadors along with alumni.
“We are honored to have such strong support from the community as we celebrate a major
milestone,” commented Dr. Ronald Swanson, president of Beckfield College. “Trey Grayson
spoke to our graduates just a couple years ago as our Commencement Speaker. It’s a thrill to
have friends like Trey mark this anniversary with us.”
Beckfield College celebrates this anniversary on the heels of opening a new campus this year in
Springdale and expanding facilities at the Florence campus to better serve health sciences and a
new Practical Nursing program. Student enrollment is up 50% since 2007, with nearly 900
students.
Beckfield College offers bachelor and associate degrees, certificates and diplomas and recently
received renewal of their accreditation and has been designated an Honor Roll Institution by the
Accrediting Council for the Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). The school focuses on
career paths in Business Administration, Computer Network Administration, Criminal Justice,
Health Care Management, Health Information Technology, Hospitality Management, Medical
Assisting, Nursing-RN, Paralegal Studies, and Practical Nursing.
Beckfield College will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary at two major events in September.
On Wednesday, September 2, Beckfield College will have a grill out with Chris Carr &
Company from B105 at the Florence Campus at 16 Spiral Drive behind Sam’s Club from 12:00 –
1:00 p.m. This event is open to the public. The September 3rd Reception is open to the community,but reservations will be necessary.
