100% Practical Nursing Graduates from Beckfield College Pass NCLEX on First Try!

100% of Beckfield College’s first Practical Nursing class passed the NCLEX-PN Licensure Examination upon first try. The Practical Nursing program launched in January of 2009, expanding the rigorous and demanding nursing educational offerings available a the College. The NCLEX-PN is a state required board examination from the Kentucky Board of Nursing to provide licensure upon graduation from an approved nursing college. 

Firearms Training for Students and Police at Beckfield College

Beckfield College has opened their firearms training system to area police departments for advanced, time efficient training. The Criminal Justice program at the College has the latest Firearms Training System (FATS) which generates real life experiences through state-of-the-art virtual technology and provides the most advanced hands-on firearms training possible.   Police departments, along with a Citizen’s Police Academy, have now trained on it successfully.

No donuts for today’s criminal justice professionals! Excellent nutrition and superb physical conditioning are necessary to succeed in the field.   Beckfield College believes so strongly in this aspect of job preparedness, they have joined forces with Northern Kentucky’s premier fitness organization, Silverlake and Better Bodies, to ensure their criminal justice students have access to develop the necessary physical training for a career in 21^st century criminal justice.

Florence, KY (March 11, 2010) Everyone has seen the faces of heartache in Haiti, and the response from the world has been tremendous, raising millions of dollars and countless volunteers giving of their time and expertise. Dana Hildebrand, a faculty member at Beckfield College, was drawn to help based on a personal connection to a young man in Haiti her mother tried to help prior to this natural disaster.  Her relationship with this impoverished country and her empathy with its people jump started students at Beckfield College to launch a fundraising effort that netted $2000 for the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund in just weeks under her leadership. 

State Rep Pillich Learns Positive Impact of Career Colleges in Ohio

Cincinnati, OH (March 1, 2010) Economic impact numbers, college graduation rates, and job placement numbers were the core discussion topics between State of Ohio Representative Connie Pillich (D-Montgomery) and ten area career colleges in Greater Cincinnati on February 12 at the Tri-County Campus of Beckfield College.  In response to the recent decision to completely remove grant opportunities for students of career colleges from the State of Ohio budget, the Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools (OACCS) organized this information session to showcase the positive impact of career colleges in Ohio.

Staying true to its commitment to meet the evolving needs of the community, Beckfield College has added new in-demand programs to its slate of academic offerings. This locally based and operated degree granting institution of higher learning, with campuses in Florence, Kentucky and Tri-County Cincinnati, Ohio, offers bachelor and associate degrees, along with certificate and diploma programs in business, health, computer technology, criminal justice, and legal studies. New programs include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and associate degrees in Cardiology Technician and Hospitality Administration.
