Cincinnati, OH (March 1, 2010) Economic impact numbers, college graduation rates, and job placement numbers were the core discussion topics between State of Ohio Representative Connie Pillich (D-Montgomery) and ten area career colleges in Greater Cincinnati on February 12 at the Tri-County Campus of Beckfield College.  In response to the recent decision to completely remove grant opportunities for students of career colleges from the State of Ohio budget, the Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools (OACCS) organized this information session to showcase the positive impact of career colleges in Ohio.

Staying true to its commitment to meet the evolving needs of the community, Beckfield College has added new in-demand programs to its slate of academic offerings. This locally based and operated degree granting institution of higher learning, with campuses in Florence, Kentucky and Tri-County Cincinnati, Ohio, offers bachelor and associate degrees, along with certificate and diploma programs in business, health, computer technology, criminal justice, and legal studies. New programs include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and associate degrees in Cardiology Technician and Hospitality Administration.

Beckfield College brings its twenty five years of local academic excellence to the Greater Cincinnati community via its new Beckfield College Blogs, launched in February 2010 on its website, www.beckfield.edu. There are three blogs focused on Health Care Education, Professional Academic Fields, and the Value of Post-Secondary Education, penned by teams of academics and higher education professionals at the College.
