Accreditation

Accreditation is a distinction granted to any institution meeting or exceeding the stated criteria of educational quality. The purpose of accreditation is to:

• Provide for public accountability.

Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools

Beckfield College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award  Bachelor’s degrees, Associate degrees, and non-degree programs.  The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.  Its accreditation of degree-granting institutions also is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Licensure and Approvals

Beckfield College is a coeducational institution with authority to confer Associate and Bachelor's Degrees, as well as diplomas and certificates.  The Florence Campus is licensed by the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. The Tri-County Campus is licensed by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools.

The Florence Campus Pre-licensure Nursing Programs are approved by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. The Tri-County Campus Pre-licensure Nursing Programs are conditionally approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing
Beckfield college is also an Authorized Microsoft IT Academy.
