Designed for Working Registered Nurses

The Beckfield RN-BSN program is built for licensed, practicing Registered Nurses who want to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree through a flexible, online format without stepping away from their careers.

How the Online Format Works

Coursework is fully asynchronous with no live sessions and no set login times. Complete your coursework from home, work, the library, or anywhere within Kentucky, Ohio, or Indiana. Structured weekly milestones keep you on track while your academic advisor and faculty remain accessible around your schedule. Prior college credits may transfer, potentially shortening your path to completion.

Immersion Experience

All BSN/RN-BSN students complete a faculty-supervised immersion experience designed to integrate evidence-based practice, leadership development, and population-focused care across diverse settings. Each designated immersion course (NUR312, NUR335, and NUR491) includes 12 hours of practice experience in an external setting under the guidance of an approved Faculty Nurse Leader. The 12 hours of practice experience includes: Shadowing and Practice Observation (4 hours), Evidence‑Based Proposal Development Consultation (4 hours), and the Implementation of Faculty Nurse Leader‑Approved Practice Application (4 hours).
