The healthcare field has always been associated with job security and growth, but ever since the emergence of the COVID-19 global pandemic, demand for professionals in the healthcare field is higher than ever. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment in healthcare occupations is projected to grow 15% from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations, adding about 2.4 million new jobs*. In fact, healthcare occupations are projected to add more jobs than any other occupation in the coming decade.

#8 Licensed Practical Nurse

The nursing field is always in search of compassionate, dependable people to take on the role of providing care to people in need. Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) are in high demand, but it takes special, caring individuals with sincere interest to help others to succeed in this position. LPNs work under the supervision of doctors or registered nurses (RNs) to provide care to patients including taking vitals, prepare and give injections, perform lab tests, and provide bedside care.

Registered nurses are medical professionals who perform a wide variety of patient care.
